I have been waiting for this day for a while now, I AM OFFICIALLY A SOCCER MOM!!  Grayson’s first soccer game was today and we WON! We loved every minute of it and I loved every minute as well! It was such a great time watching him play. I do have a few tips to give everyone that is new to being a soccer mom or might be one in the future.

1. Bring a great fold up chair. You might be the soccer mom that stands the entire game (me!) but just in case you want to hang out and sit for a little bit you need a good chair. This one has a table with it!! I love it and I will probably buy it! click here to shop the foldable chair with table
2. Bring a water bottle for your kid to have during breaks!! I love this JR camel back water bottle. It is my favorite and Grayson loves it! I love how it can fall anywhere and not spill. click here to shop
3. Arrive early to find a great place to park. My dad dropped me off but I was late and it was so hard to find parking. This might be the case at other soccer places I am not sure. You don’t want the coach waiting on the team either.
4. Wear athleisure because you will be just as active as your kids. I was running up and down the field getting pictures. I had tennis shoes on and this was the best. Shop my pants here and my top here
5. Wear your hair away from your face or pull it up in a hat. I loved wearing braids because my hair was not getting in the way of my face while I was shooting. Plus it is a lot cooler.
6. Have your team make a sign-up sheet for snacks. The kids love the snacks and they are usually really hungry when they are running up and down the field the entire time. *IDEA: put your snack in individual bags so they are easier to hand out. Most moms do goldfish, juice, and an orange.
7. Get your team to pick a team name. We are the tornados! I thought it was cute to have a name instead of just being “purple”
8. Plan a party when soccer season is over. Chris said that parents usually do this and I think it’s a great idea. You build a great relationship with the kids and the parents. Why not plan a little party.
9. If you have a baby put them in a carrier. Annslee Kate was asleep the entire game. It was AMAZING. She hates her car seat though. I loved being hand free. It is honestly the best tip I can give if you are a mom with a baby. My carrier is an older baby bjorn but here is one like it. click here to shop

If you have a good DSLR camera like a canon rebel then bring it. Make sure you learn how to take action shots at practice for the big day. I took some pics of the kids and the parents loved it!

SIDE TIP: Don’t forget to put sunscreen on your little soccer player and yourself. You don’t think about the sun hitting you so much in the springtime. You don’t want your little one or yourself getting sunburned. My favorite sunscreen stick here

I hope these tips helped you become the ultimate soccer mom!! If you are not one already then you will definitely be prepared for when that day does come. Remember that the coaches are volunteers and it just meant for the kids to have fun. Don’t get so worked up over winning and losing.
