Hi Friends!

I finally got the babies to sleep and here I am up pumping and writing blog posts. Can you say #momlife?  Am I the only mom that takes on the term mutitasking full force? You have probably seen me wear Annslee Kate in plenty of posts. It’s our favorite thing to do!

The truth is that I am kind of addicted to this baby wearing thing and Annslee Kate can say the same (if she could talk that is). The girl honestly hates her car seat. Therefore, the car seat/stroller isn’t being used very often.

Where do we baby wear you might ask? We are baby wearing at soccer games, nights out at our favorite ice cream shop, shopping in the mall, shopping at the grocery store, afternoon walks, cooking dinner, sweeping the floor, and hanging out with friends. Chris loves to baby wear as well. But first let’s go over WHY you should baby wear in the first place.

Reasons You Should Wear Your Baby:

1. It allows you to be hands free. Life with two kids is crazy. Especially when you work 40 hours a week, cook every night, breastfeed, and did I mention blog? You need to master mutitasking and baby wearing will allow you to do that for sure.
2. Helps with flat head. Flat head has been a concern of mine from the minute I brought her home from the hospital. It is were your baby gets these flats spots on her head from laying in the same spot all the time.
3. Helps with breast milk production.  Anything to help my breast milk production? AM I right??
4. Helps your baby streghten neck muscles. At Annslee Kate’s 4 month check up the doctor said she was holding her head up so well. I think the baby wearing has been very helpful.
5. It helps with acid reflux. I have fed her in the baby sling and she barely spits up and she burps herself. I love feeding her in the sling.
6. Everyone will stare at how cute you and your baby look. When people pass by they tell me how cute my sling is ALL the time.
7. Babies are happier when they are in carrier next to you. Studies have shown that baby worn in slings cry and fuss less. This is so true with Annslee Kate.
8. Its a great bonding tool. Everyone thinks that the mother is the only one wearing the baby. I have seen Chris strap on Annslee Kate and fold the laundry, take the dog for a walk, or vacuum the house. I love seeing him do it too. Heart emoji eyes for days.

Finding the right carrier for you and your baby.

My favorite ring sling is from Vienna springs. She will make you a custom sling, you just have to message her etsy shop. Link to Etsy Shop.  I absolutely love mine and I get TONS of compliments on the color. One girl the other day actually asked me if I have different colors to match my outfits. I said, “No, but that’s a geat idea!” The ring sling is really hard to learn at first. I had to watch you tube videos like a million times. We finally got the hang of it.

I suggest getting a different carrier for daddy.

Chris doesn’t like the ring sling. (Probably becuase it is pink.) He doesn’t want to get the hang of it either. I suggest going with a carrier like this. It has great reviews on Amazon. I would suggest getting a baby bjorn like the one in my picture but it is an old model and they do not sell it anymore. I got it when Grayson was born.
