I looked at Chris yesterday and said, “I want to go somewhere magical.” I had no clue Wurth Farms was going to be so dreamy. Are you going to the pumpkin patch with the family? Take these tips with you the next time you go!

My outfit is from Barn and Willow Boutique. – These jeans are so stretchy, comfy, and true to size. My kimono is perfect for the hot weather. Not to mention it’s absolutely gorgeous, I love the lace detailing. Barn and Willow is located in the Kentucky Oaks Mall next to the food court.

The pumpkin patch is always fun to go to but it is so hard to go when it’s blazing hot outside. Yesterday we were on the fence about going because the family just needed a weekend to relax. I have been working like crazy with my job and my blog. Sometimes it’s nice to just get caught up on the housework and everything. We wanted to do something that was fun for the family and so we took the plunge to beat the heat.

Wurth Farms is a cute pumpkin patch located in Paducah, Kentucky. If you are wanting to get some great pictures of your family then you definitely need to go here. It was so magical for me. When I got home to edit pictures I thought it was a dream. I am so proud of Chris for taking charge of the camera and doing an amazing job. He has been watching tutorials on photography and I couldn’t be more proud of him.

So let’s dive into my top 5 tips for taking the kids to the pumpkin patch.

1. Wear sunscreen- The sun is going to blazing on you if you live in TN or Kentucky. Wear some sunscreen for sure.
2. Bring a stroller- I have an amazing dual stroller that Grayson and Annslee Kate can both ride in. We have used it several times and it is a LIFESAVER! I can’t say how much I love this stroller with 2 kids. Graco Roomfor2 Click Connect Stroller
3. Wear the right clothes- Buy your kids a cute pumpkin patch outfit but make sure it’s okay for the heat. I almost put Annslee Kate in pants and long sleeves for Wurth farms because it has a pumpkin on it but I decided not to. I am so glad I didn’t do that. She was a lot happier with her outfit choice. Shop Grayson’s Mudpie outfit here.  It’s super rough so booties are perfect. Grayson had sandals on and rocks kept getting in them. So try not to put you or your kids in sandals or open two shoes.
4. Go in the afternoon after naps. I went at 4 and the closed at 5. We had so much fun with an hour and the sunlight was perfect for pictures. We would have gone sooner if it wasn’t so hot.
5. Bring Cash and your CAMERA!  Bring cash so that you can get snacks, waters, and pay for all of the activities. Bring your DSLR camera if you have one.
