Do you want to know how to get the most out of your family trip to Disney World? Do you want to skip all the lines and have the most stress free experience? This blog post will cover everything for you!
Work with a Travel Agency. This is one trick that I cannot recommend more. The travel agency I worked with is called Family Getaways. You don’t pay them, they actually get paid a percentage through Disney. Not all travel agencies are like the one we had though, because when I told my friends everything they did they said their travel agency didn’t do all of that. I am going to simply breakdown what makes this travel agency different.
Jenny will book your fast passes. Not only will she book them 60 days in advance but she knows all the tricks on how to get more then 3 fast passes a day. Our first day at magic kingdom we snagged 10 fast passes. Fast passes are just passes that let you skip the lines for the rids.
Jenny will make sure you get the character dining that you want. She stalks the website to get you in. We ate at cinderella’s royal table, Be Our Guest, and Tusker House. All of them were so magical and perfect thanks to Jenny!
Jenny gives you a list all of the best snacks, best restaurants, and best rides.
She has been to Disney so many times and keeps up with trips and tricks every year.
She will book fast passes for you while you are taking a nap at the resort. I kid you not. It’s like having a personal assistant!
She gives you a list on what not to forget to pack! If you like being prepared you will love these lists.
We never had to wait in line. I know this doesn’t sound very real but it is. We only waited in lines to see characters because those lines do not have fast passes.

Mobile Order your Food. On the my disney experience app you can mobile order your quick service and snacks! I don’t know why other people don’t do this.. but they don’t. We would just walk up and grab our food every time. You don’t have to get a kids meal either. We would spilt meals so our credits would go farther. I got this tip from Jenny!!
Bring juice and snacks into the park. You don’t want to waste all your snack credits on silly snacks for the kids! Don’t forget to pick up breakfast food too! The park will let you bring in a small cooler. Any quick service restaurants serve free water so bring a reusable water bottle and fill up at quick services. All you have to do is ask the person behind the counter.
Buy the matching family Disney shirts! We only did one set of matching t-shirts but I wish we would have done more. It’s just part of the experience and it’s fun! The best place is Etsy and Kohl’s has a huge selection of Disney shirts. Don’t try to buy Disney shirts when you are down there unless you are going to go to target next to Disney!
Wear comfortable waterproof shoes. Your feet are literally going to kill you. We walked 10 miles a day. You will get rained on and it’s going to be okay. Put your poncho on and keep going! Buy a cute Disney poncho at the Target next to Disney. They have the best selection of ponchos, stroller fans, autograph books, t-shirts, etc.!
Take a nap every day. I know you want to keep going but we napped everyday at 12/1/2 p.m.. We did our fast passes in the morning, ate lunch, took a nap, and then woke up and got ready for our character dining reservation and enjoyed all the night stuff. Disney at night is so magical and your family needs to be well rested for that. You can keep your same schedule that your kids have during the week and you should. Jenny (my travel agent) is a mom so she knows how to schedule your day with kids.
Get the memory maker!! It’s worth the money. Memory maker means that all the photographers at the park can just scan your band and take your picture anywhere at the park and it loads right on to your my Disney experience app. Long story short… it’s so worth it. You don’t have to worry about getting your phone out when your kids meet the characters. It’s wonderful!
Hire a photographer for your first day at DisneyWorld. This was a great experience for us because we had a photoshoot at Disney. These pictures in this blog post I will cherish forever. It’s different from memory maker because the quality of the pictures are so much better. Bryanna did such a great job and she knows all of the places to take pictures at Magic Kingdom. Her contact is bryannajae@gmail.com
Stay on Disney World property. We stayed at a value resort called pop and we got such a great deal! When I tell people how much our entire trip at Disney was they respond with, “that’s it!”. They will say, “that’s what we paid to go to the beach!”. Pop had a great room with tons of storage. The Murphy bed also turns into a table which is convenient. It’s not a huge room but we are mostly at the park the entire time. But I loved staying on Disney property, swimming at the pool, and I can’t imagine staying off property.
Bring a stroller/rent a stroller even if your kid is 5 or 6! Grayson got exhausted and I don’t know how we could have made it without him in that stroller. Jenny knows a great rental stroller place in Orlando.
You can pay for your entire Disney Trip with Kroger gift cards!! Yes… you can load the cards and cover the bill in the my disney experience app! We paid 10 cents for a gallon of gas for a while! How awesome is that?
Buy a portable charger! Your phone is going to die using the app so much. You can buy one on Amazon here.
The best way to meet characters is through character dining. I don’t understand why people wait in long for hours and hours to meet characters when you can see 5 or 6 in one character dining. So use your park time for rides and meet characters while you eat!
MiniVans are a life saver. If you download the Lyft app and swipe over you will see a minivan option. They are red vans with white polka dots on them. The coolest thing is that they have Disney World cast members drive them and they can pick you up anywhere and get you to your destination quick. The best thing is that they have car seats. So if you are running late or don’t want to wait in line for the bus take the mini van. It can average anywhere between $20-$40 but it saved us quite a few times!
You can have fun with a baby! I know a lot of parents wait until their kids are a lot older to go to Disney but I really wanted to experience Disney with my kids while they are little. Grayson remembers a lot and of course Annie Kate doesn’t remember anything but I couldn’t imagine having a family vacation without her. Grayson is the perfect age for disney because he would get so stinking excited to see the characters and he would smile so hard during the rides. You can ride swap meaning Grayson and I would ride the ride first and then they would let Grayson skip the line again and ride with Chris. Annslee Kate could ride a ton of rides at Magic Kingdom! So you would be surprised how much fun you can have with a baby there. They also have baby centers if you need a nice quiet room to decompress, to breastfeed, or to get diapers/wipes.
My favorite rides at Disney World : (You def. want to get fast passes for these)
Rockin Rollercoaster @ Hollywood Studios
Slinky Dog Dash @ Hollywood Stuidos
Soarin @ Epcot
Flight of Passage @ Animal Kingdom
Splash Mountain @ Magic Kingdom
Seven Drawfs Mine Train @ Magic kingdom
Expedition Everest at night @ Animal Kingdom
My favorite Snacks at Disney World:
Mickey Pretzel with cheese dip at Epcot
Mickey Ice Cream Bar
Dole Whip @ Magic Kingdom
The Grey Stuff @ Be Our Guest Restaurant
I know that was a lot of information and I didn’t even give you EVERYTHING! It’s intense but if you have a travel agent helping you then you will be fine. By the way, she didn’t not sponsor this post in any way. I just love how good she planned our trip with us and I wanted to tell my audience about her!
