Nashville is such a great city to visit with the family! Some of these venues might not be open during COVID-19 but you should definitely bookmark this post for later! This is a great post to gather all the spots you can hit if you are visiting for the weekend.
Cheekwood Estates and Garden– This huge garden is perfect for a little picnic on a summer day with the family! It is covered in the most gorgeous plant life and flowers. They even have a little playground area and train. Even though the playground and benches are closed at the moment is it so fun to hike and explore. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Right now they are having dog’s night out the first three Thursday nights in June. No tickets will be sold on-site. Check out more info here.
Arrington Vineyards– This kid-friendly vineyard is located in Arrington, TN, which is about 30 minutes from Nashville. This spot is a local favorite because of the gorgeous scenery and wonderful wine. You can bring a small tent, umbrella, picnic basket, and lawn chairs. No reservation required and the best part is that it is free.
Camp Widjiwagen Family Camp– If you love to camp then you will love camp Widjiwagen. Grayson absolutely loves this place because the activities include Zip Lining, Climbing, Giant Swing, Archery Canoes and Kayaks, Arts & Crafts, Outdoor Cooking, Fishing and s’mores! Tents are the only thing allowed so you would be legit camping it! Dates are August 28th-30th.
12th South- It has a wonderful little park for the kids to play, some of the best restaurants, and you can even rent a bike and ride around with the family! Let’s not forget all of the instagramable murals they have there! My favorite spots are five daughters bakery, frothy monkey, bar taco, and urban grub.
Sound Waves– Indoor Outdoor water park is definitely on our family to-do list! Since you have to book a room in the hotel to visit this water park, that means there is not a huge crowd at all. The outdoor park has live country music and a kid area! It’s one of our favorite places in Nashville. Sound Waves opens June 25th!

Nashville Zoo- We love visiting this zoo every single year! It just opened with social distancing.
Urban Air Cool Springs– is a really amazing trampoline park and so much more. We haven’t been there yet but plan on making a trip soon!
When COVID-19 is over plan on making a stop at these awesome places!
Nashville Children’s Theatre– Right now they have online summer camps which is a great way to entertain your little ones while inside. I plan on taking the kids to one of their shows when they open back up!
Nashville Sounds– We go to a Sounds game at least once a year. They even have a little outdoor putt-putt area that is so fun! It’s a family tradition for sure!
Goldfish Swim School– has an amazing facility to help teach your little one how to swim! I cannot wait to sign Grayson up when they reopen!
