It’s getting super cold here in Tennessee which means that the heat is in full force. When my husband goes to work I crank the heat up to 74 degrees. Do you do the same? In today’s blog post I am going to help you get your home and HVAC ready for Winter.
*This blog post is sponsored by Hoffmann Brothers but the words are my own.
Check your home’s HVAC- We love using Hoffmann Brothers here in Nashville because they have really amazing customer service and a home protection plan that can save you time and money on your HVAC. You should schedule a routine tune-up at least twice a year to prevent future expensive damages.
Get organized– I always declutter the playroom and get it ready for the fresh new toys that are coming in. Get rid of any toys your kids don’t play with anymore by donating them or storing them in the attic.
Prep the plumbing- Check your drainage and don’t forget to drip water at night if the temps are getting below freezing. You can even consider using heat tape to keep them warm during the winter months. Do you need to call a plumber? Hoffmann Brothers has great plumbing contractors, repairs, replacements, and inspections.
Seal drafts in your home– Add caulk or weather stripping around any doors or windows that have gaps. This prevents your HVAC from working harder than it needs to.
Clean your gutters– You don’t want a pest issue from clogged gutters so make sure you are giving those a great clean while you hanging up the Christmas lights on the exterior of your home.
Hoffmann Brothers is running a special promotion this month for a $99 heating tune-up. Click here to schedule! Promotion ends 11/30.
