I am a fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle blogger based out of Nashville, TN! I love sharing my favorite looks, beauty tips, and travel guides! Read more below!
Annslee Kate’s first birthday party is one that I will always remember. Every single detail made me so happy. The server at the restaurant said that it gave her all the princess vibes. I did a funny video on Instagram asking if any other mothers went all out for their kids birthday. Why do we go all out? I totally went all out for Grayson’s 1st birthday so it only seemed fair.
Alice in Wonderland is hard theme to accomplish because they no longer make Alice in wonderland decor. I wanted to go through the details in case you guys want to do this for your little one’s birthday.
Venue- For the venue I chose a brunch place in downtown Paducah called Confleur. Confleur has a little event room that was perfect for the tea party. They provided the tea, finger sandwiches, scones with jam/cotted cream, and macaroons. The macaroons I chose were chocolate and lavendar/ lemon. The lavender lemon was so delicious.
Tablecloths– the light blue color was definitely my favorite for Alice in wonderland but I also did a purple sequince, royal blue, and silver sequince. Honestly you can’t really go wrong with the colors. Alice is wonderland is a ton of different colors. I rented my tablecloths from Bluegrass Event Planning. Check out their website here My friend Emily owns this business and she is so wonderful. She has a Photo Booth backdrop, tablecloths, chairs, chair covers, sashes, place settings, and flowers. She is your girl if you are planning any event or wedding in Paducah.
Flowers– The flowers are fake from the dollar tree/dollar store. I got a ton of them a filled up the tiny vases.
Hearts– We got these for hobby lobby. I wanted to do big posters that resembled card decks but a ran out of time and just used glue dots to glue a bunch of them to the walls. They came off super quick.
Annslee Kate’s high chair banner- So you could totally make this banner if you want but I bought mine off of Etsy here
Lanterns– I bought lanterns in different colors from hobby lobby and we strung them across the room with fishing wire and command hooks.
Balloon arch- For the balloons arch we blew up (it’s not helium) balloons in several different sizes and then we threaded them all on the fishing wire and hung them on the poles.
One balloon– The one balloon we bought on Etsy here
Tea Party Onesie– her little shirt was seriously the cutest thing about her party. The sleeve detail is so cute and the back has a bow on it. You can purchase it here
Table Runner- the table runner was purchased on amazon. They are really short so you might need to buy quite a few. I just put it on the kids table. I also bought these tea party plates for the kids table here
Entertainment for the kids- so this was really tricky. The kids had their own kids table and then I sat the parents behind them or close by. I printed off Alice in wonderland sheets and had little glasses of crayons laying out so that they could color. We also played pin the smile on Chessor the cat. we got that game from Amazon. We also played some minute to win it games. The adults played a game where we all had 3 minutes to write down as many words as they could with using the letters from Annslee Kate. I also brought different board games for the kids to play so they didn’t get bored. I knew they wouldn’t love just sitting and drinking tea.
Seating Chart– I love seating charts because they help everything stay so organized for small parties. I had the family on one side and family on the other. I created mine on canva.com so that it was easy to edit.
Cake– I absolutely loved this little smash cake from Publix. Publix has the best cakes.
Thanks everyone for all of the birthday wishes for my sweet Annslee Kate! Don’t forget to check out the fiesta party I did here
