When I dreamt up Aconfidentblonde, I knew I wanted every conversation to feel like you’re catching up with an old friend. In this podcast, you can expect to hear all about encouraging self-confidence, embracing who you are, and how you can step out as your best self.
Beyond the boastful kind of confidence, this podcast is all about empowerment—the kind that’s rooted deeply in an individual’s belief in their skills, capabilities, and potential. I’ve been there, felt every emotion and now, I’m here to share all about building confidence.
Ten years ago, I was a dental assistant that was posting on Instagram as a side-hustle. I wanted to make women feel confident, have fun, and create experiences for themselves and their family. Eventually I turned that side-hustle into my full-time job by building a following of over 80,000 people. As I’ve built my own confidence, I’m constantly reminded of the mom who needs that help and encouragement—that’s why Aconfidentblonde podcast was built.
Now, isn’t confidence an entity that’s intensely personal, yet universally impactful? It’s one of those qualities that doesn’t always come easy, but it shapes how we interact with the world. What exactly is confidence though?
Confidence is rooted in the belief that one has skills, knowledge, and capabilities to navigate and succeed in specific areas of life. It’s about trusting oneself to handle challenges and make sound decisions. Confidence is also closely tied to positive self image, which involves accepting and appreciating one’s self. Confidence is also acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses and maintaining a healthy level of self esteem. Confidence often requires courage to take risks, to face uncertainties, and to step out of one’s comfort zone
Truly, individuals who are confident in their skills and talents are those that take measured risks, step out of their comfort zone, and bounce back from disappointments easily. The transformative power of confidence is truly a sight to behold! To get where I am today, it took a bit of risk taking and stepping out of my comfort zone.
Confidence is a subtle art, one that needs priming and nurturing until it becomes part of our lives. In order to find confidence, you have to be organized in your life. From meal planning to workout routines and budgeting, getting organized with your life will help you find confidence. For me, this all started with a paper planner and developed from theres.
Here are the next steps to building your own confidence boosting habits:
Once I found my routines and built these habits, I felt like I had my life together. That’s when my eyes were opened to new opportunities and doors that I didn’t know existed. I was able to build an online following, create a personal brand for myself, and meet artists, like Carrie Underwood.
I want women to feel that same empowerment and confidence to chase after their dreams that I had when I went after mine. This is your sign and encouragement to go after your dreams and build a life of confidence!

Review the Transcript:
Hi everyone. And welcome to the first episode of a confident blonde podcast. I am your host, Kellyanne Schwartz, and I am so excited to be here. Oh my gosh. I’ve been wanting to do this for over a year. and I just want to tell you a little bit about who I am and what my story is. So 10 years ago, I was a dental assistant that started posting on Instagram as just this really fun, creative side hustle and fast forward a few years later, I took that side hustle full time and built a combined following of over 80, 000 followers.
Kelly: Thousand followers. I still can’t believe I’m saying that. And on my Instagram, I help women feel confident and have fun with beauty tips, affordable fashion reviews, and just really fun places to go. As you guys know that if you’ve been following me for a while, our family. Is more into experience over things.
So we’re going all the time, but I decided about a year ago that even though I love those things and feel really passionate about them. Still, what I get told I’m an expert in is just really helping people feel confident. I get asked, how are you so confident? Why are you so confident? And I’ve just noticed a lot of women are not chasing their dream or living their life to their full potential because they just simply.
Don’t have the confidence. So here’s my question. My question is, who’s going to be there for her? That mom that’s tired, overworked, underpaid, and under astronomical amounts of pressure. She keeps trying to show up every single day for her family, but she’s left tired and exhausted and anxious. Now I’m here to tell you that I am going to be there for you.
I’m going to pull you out of the overwhelm. And straight into the confidence. So about eight years ago, I was a new mom. Grayson was. Only 18 months old. And if you know the story about me and my husband, me and my husband were in college when we got pregnant with Grayson, our sweet, wonderful surprise. And at the time we couldn’t afford groceries for ourselves.
I was working at a restaurant as a server. Cause I was going to college and I was literally eating bread for dinner. I still remember I was like sneaking pieces of bread. And when I found out I was pregnant, I was like, how am I going to feed? trials. I can barely feed myself. And so, you know, from that moment that I found out I was going to be a mom, I was like, okay, Kelly, like you got to get your life together.
So when he was about 18 months old, I was working as a dental assistant. And I just remember that I was exhausted. All the time. Like I ate like crap. I always like laughed and joked. And I was like, I’m a wing it mom. I just wing it. Like, and Grayson was such a good baby that he could just take a nap anywhere.
But. The real issue at the time is that me and my husband were living, we were just living paycheck to paycheck, but we were just having some serious financial issues as far as like, we were racking up credit bills. We thought, oh, we can put like all these bills on a credit card and we’ll get the points, which is such a joke looking back because we didn’t know how to manage those credit cards.
Right? We didn’t have a plan and we weren’t. Going over the budget with each other and then that started turning into like fights between you know me and my husband and Finally one day. I was just so tired like I remember I had to wake up take my son to daycare go to work I ate like crap during lunch And then I would come back at the end of the day pick my kid up from school come back at the end of the Day, I just sit on the couch, and I was just so tired and like lazy and our finances aren’t good And I finally just said Like enough was enough and that I was just sick and tired of being sick and tired.
So I remember I had a friend, she’s still my best friend to this day. Sarah, if you’re listening to this, it’s you. But she had this like paper planner in college and I was like, She’s kind of organized. It’s like really cool. And so I was like, what if I got a paper planner and like, just started planning out things and just playing around with it.
So that’s the first thing I did. I purchased a paper planner, but what I didn’t know is that literal one of the, that action just literally changed my life. So I started planning out meals. We started planning out the budget and paying off debt. I also at that time. Started planning my workouts and just getting, and I was like, Oh my goodness.
I feel so good. Like I have all this energy and I’m just ready to go for the day. And I’m happier because I feel confident and I feel better. And I remember sitting on the couch one day and I was like, just so funny. Just scrolling through Instagram and there’s these bloggers at that time. It was like this new thing.
This was years ago. So you’re talking like seven years ago where nobody even knew what influencing was blogging was, it was just like this weird world, but I saw this girl and she was a full time blogger with her kids and they were always traveling and going to these really cool places. And she had like the most gorgeous hair.
She did these cool hairstyles and I was like, oh my gosh, like she is so cool and fun. And I. Could I do this? Like, could I be a blogger? I don’t come from money. We don’t have a lot of money. I remember asking my husband at the time. I was like, I remember looking over him on the couch and I was like, I think I want to start a blog, like a YouTube and a blog.
And he was like, you should do it. Like he was just so, you know, he was like, you’ve been planning and really working hard and you do great at your job. You’re excelling at your job and you’re. Working out and your meal planning and you’re taking care of your kid. And like, he’s like, of course you could totally do this.
Like, I don’t think he knew that he would have to be so involved from that moment. Like that he would have to be Instagram husband for the next seven years. But he told me I could do it. So I was like, well, if this girl could do it, I can do it. Right. So. What I started doing was instead of like shooting just a little bit of content every day, I would plan out my content for the month and then I would shoot all my content in like one or two days on the weekends so that I could get up, go to work, do my daily routine.
And then when I put my son to bed at night, I could post on my Instagram because I already had my content ready to go. And at that moment, I was like, wow, like planning really does make a difference. But at the time I was just having so much fun. Until, you know, it opened so many doors and so many opportunities in my life.
I mean, Even this year, getting to work out with Carrie Underwood, like all from just starting an Instagram is just completely blows my mind. I was a small town girl. I didn’t come from like astronomical amounts of money. My parents worked so hard. My husband’s parents worked so hard and they did well and they provided such a great life for us.
But I never knew that, like I could. Become an influencer that it would even be anything it was today. And so I just really feel like that planning and that moment of planning is what I’m passionate about and that action. And so in this podcast, I’m going to show you exactly how I chased my dream job and how I basically planned out this really amazing future for me and my family.
So when we talk about confidence, there’s a lot of misconceptions about confidence. Like, I think a lot of people will think. She’s confident, like, Oh, she’s so full of herself or she’s selfish. And I just truly don’t think that’s true. But I was like, before I started this podcast, like what does even confidence mean, like the entire, my entire brand, this entire, this entire podcast is about confidence.
So what does confidence even mean? Confidence is rooted in the belief that one has skills, knowledge, and capabilities to navigate and succeed in specific areas of life. I love this line, but it’s about trusting oneself to handle challenges and make sound decisions. Wow, like I feel like I’m getting chills from just that one sentence.
Confidence is also about positive self image. So confidence is Closely tied to positive self image. And this involves accepting and appreciating one’s self. So acknowledging strengths and weaknesses and maintaining a healthy level of self esteem, which I feel like that hits so hard because this also ties into what’s going to be on this podcast of just like self image and.
What you think about your body and all those things. Confidence often requires courage to take risks, to face uncertainties, and to step out of one’s comfort zone, man. Now I remember the day I quit my dental job to go full time influencing and like that risk for us was just so scary because we. I mean, I was making a salary, a good paid salary, great benefits, health insurance, all those things you kind of take for granted when you go out on your own, but wow, that risk that I took at the time, I.
Never thought I would be here today, making this podcast, and how many opportunities and how much income that I’ve gained just from taking that 1 risk and feeling confident in that decision. Confident individuals are often resilient in the face of setbacks. They bounce back from failures. They learn from experience and they use challenges.
And opportunities for growth. I love that. Cause this year has been so hard. So I love looking at that and being like, no, this is just a little setback. Like we’re going to get up and we’re going to keep going for it. Confidence is reflected in the ability to express oneself clearly, assertively, and with conviction and confident individuals can communicate their thoughts and ideas while respecting others.
That is just such a great point. So nonverbal cues, such as posture, eye contact, gestures, make a significant role in conveying confidence. Open and positive body language often reflects inner confidence as well. So I know I just did this photo shoot for the podcast and I told the photographer, I was like, I want every bit of this to be confident.
And you’ll have to go look. At a confident blonde on Instagram, but there is a pose and it is very open, and the posture and all of it is just straight up confidence. So that is, so, body language is so much a part of this. And in this podcast we’re gonna dive really deep into that, but I truly, truly love that.
And the last thing, what is confidence? Confidence is associated with optimism and a positive outlook on life. So confident individuals tend to focus on possibilities. solutions and opportunities rather than dwelling on limitations. Whoa. Like, so there, there it is that we just dived into what the heck.
Confidence even is. Okay. So there’s so many things that goes with confidence. It’s, you know, how you view yourself. It’s not how you look. It’s how you actually appreciate how you look and how, Your self esteem is just on top of it. Taking risks. Like I never would have thought taking risks would be a part of confidence, but I just love that.
And I love really just breaking down what confidence means so that we can help with these common misconceptions about confidence. So I just know there is so many habits that you can start right now to help get you into confidence. It’s 2024. As I’m recording this podcast, January 2nd.
So we are like in it. I know the podcast won’t drop till later, but we’re in it. We’re in January. We’ve got to get this going. And so every podcast, I’m going to definitely leave you with some. Like pen to paper moments, things that you need to write down actionable steps to take with you. So here are my confidence boosting habits that I do every single day.
That they’re simple. There’s not a ton, but you could just start tomorrow. You could just start doing this. Number one, and I’m sure you probably know this, but you should buy a planner right now. So, I don’t even care if it’s, a paper planner, if it’s a one on Amazon, if you had to swing by Walmart and pick one up, it doesn’t matter.
Get a planner. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Right now I’m using a digital planner that acts like a paper planner And I absolutely love it because there’s so many features to it and I can also pull it up on my phone But I basically take out my iPad in GoodNotes and I can write in it like a paper planner, but it’s On my iPad, it’s phenomenal.
In the podcast, I will definitely break down. Probably there’ll probably be in a whole episode over just my planner. but I absolutely love it. And before I go to sleep at night, I plan out my next day just to give me confidence on my next day. Like. The most important tasks that need to get done, making sure the kids are taking care of everybody’s fed.
The budget’s done, like everything I need to do for the next day. I just write it down in my planner the night before. And that is something I highly recommend that before you lay your head down at night, plan out your next day. So another thing that’s going to help build confidence is a Google calendar.
So my Google calendar is filled with everything I need for business and life. So the Google calendar are things. Like places that we’re going. So the kids basketball practices, everything that’s going on with their school, everything that’s going on with Chris’s work, everything that’s going on with our social life or church life.
Everything is on there with the grandparents. I even add like the grandparents to it about Christmas plans. So our Google calendar is shared. It’s shared between me and my husband. So I have one Google calendar for the business. I have one Google calendar for our life, just me and my husband’s life. And this is truly saved so many arguments because, and then like, also I noticed like Chris would just call me like, Hey, what are we doing again today?
Or what’s happening again today? And like, now he just looks at the calendar. He knows exactly what’s going on today. He knows where he’s supposed to be, where I’m supposed to be. And there’s just less. Fights. It’s more peaceful. Everybody knows what they should be doing. So if I get a newsletter from the kids school, I’ll go ahead and plug that into the Google calendar.
And then working with a team as well. So if like I’m meeting with my bookkeeper. That meeting is in the Google calendar every month. It’s a reoccurring event and she’s also added to the, to the event so that she knows exactly where to go, when to show up. And then we make sure we take care of the books every month and go over our P and L meetings and all those fun things.
So I highly recommend a shared Google calendar is my favorite, but there’s other. calendars out there. Just find one that works for you. And then another confidence boosting habit is just building a simple workout routine. And there has been moments in my life where the only thing I could do is go for a walk for the dog.
And that’s okay. That is okay. I’m here to tell you that movement is movement. So find something you love right now. I’m just really loving burn boot camp. There’s a community and Bro, Tennessee, they’re all over, but I’ve been going to the Mervis Bro, Tennessee ones because I’m such a social extrovert.
So being alone and working alone all day. It makes me a little tired and cranky and lonely. I get really lonely working by myself all day. So going and working with a group of women that I get to high five and go through life with, and I can take my kids to childcare for me, that workout routine saves me days.
There’s days that it just saves me. And I absolutely love burn bootcamp. They were having a promotion going on in January where you can get the first four weeks for only 69. But definitely check it out. It’s amazing. I love it. But just find a workout routine that works for you. Like if it’s swimming, if it’s yoga, if it’s biking, whatever it is.
If it’s roller skating with the kids, you know, just find something you want to do that you like to do because you’re gonna do this Every single day of your life. So you want to have fun doing it. I like the music at burn. I like rap a little bit, you know? I don’t know. I just love it. The next confidence boosting habit is meal prepping.
I know you’ve heard this before. You, you probably get like, don’t like the task can be daunting. I totally get it. One idea is like to get a buddy that you can meal prep with. You can switch out meals. But what, even if you’re like, I don’t know if you know where to start on days that I’m tired or Sundays, I’m tired.
And I’d. I can’t do the full. Meal prep that I love to do. I at least meal prep my daughter’s lunches. That has saved me so many mornings I just pull it out throw it in her lunchbox because You know, we’re usually rushing all the doors in the morning and so I don’t have to worry about making her lunch So this week what I did is I meal prepped our lunch, my snack I meal prepped breakfast and then both of my kids lunches because they’re here on Christmas break and gosh, it saves me.
So, today for lunch, I had 2 boiled eggs, some pistachios, some blocks of cheese and some grapes and. A protein shake with that. So I’ve been just kind of switching up, try to like, just try different things, find different things. I do love overnight oats for breakfast. Those have been fun. And I’ve top them with apples or bananas.
But Pinterest has so many. Really easy ideas. Sometimes I honestly just go to Costco and buy just like a huge pack of chicken and just grill a bunch of chicken just to have on hand, to throw on a salad, to throw in a wrap, to eat with some veggies. Like, that has been a really easy, easy meal prep idea.
So, yeah, just try to find an easy meal prep, but it will help get you into that confidence and you’re really going to be fueling your body with just some really good food to help you feel confident during the day to make those hard decisions or to have the self esteem and to do those things.
Another thing, the last tip I have for you about, building confidence and boosting confidence habits. Is to write down a positive affirmation every single day. You are what you say. So one thing I’ve always said is I’m not a morning person. I’m not a morning person. I told myself in 2024, Kelly, you’re not going to say that anymore.
You are a morning person. When you say things like I’m not a morning person, you just made your mind up. Like you’ve made it up those. That’s an affirmation. So it’s been really important for me to every morning. Look at my I have one called. I am it’s the I am app and I love how it just like pops up on my watch so I can go in and just put I there’s so many like amazing affirmations.
I don’t even have to think of it. Like, one of my favorite is I am building. The most beautiful life, or I am building the most confident version of myself. And so you write that down either in your paper planner or your journal. Right now, I’ve just been jotting it down in my paper planner for the day.
It’s like, this is the affirmation for the day. And that will really, really help build your confidence as you start your day. So in this podcast, we’re going to have an episode twice a month. They will be short. They’ll be to the point probably less than 30 minutes every time and filled with actionable steps, just like the ones I showed you will also try to have some guests.
Expert speakers, and this is going to be so fun. So I haven’t asked Shannon, my injector yet, but I’m sure she’ll come on. We are best friends, but I want her to chat Botox fillers, just like breaking the mold. I’m like, how can you be more confident with some of these procedures? I do know that she has changed.
My life, the way my face looks how I know I no longer have acne. I love the way my lips look. I love, , my Botox. I love every procedure that she’s done on me. But I would love to have her. I would love to have. my financial advisor to talk about money, because I feel like a lot of people don’t talk about their money or they don’t, there’s just so much taboo around finances.
Like, people don’t want to talk about finances, but I really want to break that mold and help get you confidence with your money. I would love to have Chris on here as well to chat about like. What has, and what has not worked in our marriage, just to help build that confidence with you and your marriage.
If you are married or with your partner, like trying to get that down of like, how, how can we be more confident? With that. So key topics will be mental health, nutrition, beauty, fitness, organization, and basically everything in between that will help bring you more confidence. Confidence is the goal on every single podcast episode.
And I just want you to step into your best self. And I want to hear from you over on my Instagram. I have an Instagram, a confident blonde, a confident blonde. And I want to hear what you’re struggling with every day. I know what I struggle with every day. I struggle with so much, I feel like, but I want to know exactly what you are struggling with too.
Like, please don’t. Don’t make me feel alone with what I struggle with as a mom and business owner. But I want to know, like, what is keeping you from the dream job you’ve always wanted? What’s keeping you from the gym? What’s keeping you from meal prepping or just what are you struggling with? Are you having a hard day?
Like, what is it about? and I really want to help you get the most out of this podcast. Truly. This is a resource for you. And I really just want to know, I have to know what you’re struggling with for, to be able to help you. So. I’m going to give away a 50 gift card to Amazon. If you follow me over on Instagram at a confident blonde, and then if you just send me a DM and tell me, you’ve heard the first episode, and tell me what you loved about it, you will be entered to win.
And if this podcast helps you, please, please, please share it with your friends and family. I just want to be able to help as many people as I can. And I want all of us to build this community and know that like, we’re not alone in any of these topics. And I just want to. I just want to help as many people as I can.
Like I said, I’ve been wanting to do this podcast for a few years now, and I don’t know what was keeping me back from it. Honestly, probably time management just because I’m so, I feel like I’m just a mom in like the weeds of motherhood. I’m just like in the thick of it, you know, with my business and motherhood.
But, when I woke up this morning, I was so excited to get to talk to you today. And if you’ve been following me for a while, which I don’t want to cry on a podcast, I’ve never cried before on a podcast. But I had a really hard challenging 2023. I started weekly therapy and my mental health was just, it took a toll.
And, the one thing I was just so excited about in 2024 was getting to come on this podcast and getting to help you. I think it like brought me out of my bed on days where I couldn’t get up out of bed. And it’s, you know, I’ve been feeling really guilty about my 2023 and how challenging it was for me mentally.
But, you know, I think it makes you stronger. And that’s what I’ve been saying, to myself and everyone else is like, okay, it was a hard year and that’s okay. But like, we’re going to come out stronger in 2024. Like we’re going to be our best self. Like. There were periods that I was a hot mess and I was eating, fast food and I wasn’t, working out and I wasn’t planning out my day.
So if you think I’m perfect, I am not perfect. And there are times where I will just have periods where I’m not, I’m not on it, you know, and like, I’m not even going to pretend to be like I’m perfect anymore, you know, like I, I have rough times. And this podcast has pulled me out and getting to be here, getting to show up and getting to help you is truly my life’s mission.
And I’m just so happy you’re here. Share it, tell everybody about it. Send me a DM if you loved this episode and I can’t wait to see you next time on a confident blonde podcast.
