You are going to love Soundwaves Nashville at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee! We have been going to this indoor/outdoor water park for years. We love how it’s not super crowded and there is hours upon hours of entertainment for the entire family. You do have to stay the night at Gaylord Opryland Resort in order to get access for Soundwaves but it makes it part of the experience. They have scavenger hunts, water shows, restaurants, delta boat rides, and so much more actually inside the Gaylord Opryland Resort. A lot of people don’t know this but you can actually get a discount (up to 30%) if you are a Tennessee resident!

What to know before you go Soundwaves Nashville:

• You can’t bring food or drinks inside the Soundwaves Nashville waterpark but we love the pizza, nachos, and food there! They also have really amazing frozen drinks, gatorades, waters, etc.
• No need to bring a towel to the Soundwaves Nashville waterpark because they provide fresh, hot, dry towels for you 24/7! They have two towel bins, one outside and one inside.
• It’s truly fun for all ages. You don’t have to have kids to go because they have two adult pools (one inside upstairs and one outside.) My kids are 5 and 8 and truly at the perfect age to ride most of the rides. My 5 year old is a little short for the rides but she loved all the kiddie pool areas. My 8 year old son was able to ride a ton of rides. Check the height requirement before you go.
• If you want to get a chair near the big SoundWaves pool or even get a chair at all then you need to be there right at 10:00 before it opens! We love heading straight to the wave pool and setting up for the day.
• There are lifeguards at every pool except for the little kiddie pool areas.
• The lines are not very long for the rides. The worst thing about water parks is how long the lines…but here at Soundwaves Nashville the lines are super short making it part of the experience.
• If you want to beat the heat of a little there is an arcade downstairs that your kids might enjoy.

• Check out the discounts if you are local. Local Tennessee residents can get up to 30% off Soundwaves Nashville and if you live in Davidson County you can get up to 40% off.
• You can get a big group of people and schedule a birthday party. If you book a birthday party you are not required to stay overnight at the resort. Plus your kids will love having fun with their friends.

• Jack Daniels – this restaurant is great if you want southern bbq
• Old Hickory Steakhouse – this is more of an upscale restaurant at the resort but we absolutely love it

What to do at Gaylord Opryland Resort

• Pirates and Princess Boat delta boat ride– this boat ride is definitely more fun at night because you can see all the pretty lights.
• Scavenger Hunt– My kids love participating in the scavengar hunt because it’s a great way to tour all the different places in the resort and you get a really cool prize at the end.
• General Jackson River Boat Show– this isn’t actually at the Gaylord Opryland Resort but it’s only a few minutes away. You take a boat ride to downtown Nashville and tour the great city! The dinner was great and it was hours of entertainment.
• Oprymills– If you want to do a little shopping while you are staying at the resort then you will love Oprymills Outlet Mall! They have high end retailers for a fraction of the price.
